I took Christian to Joplin to visit a friend.  We had to deliver to him the fantasy football championship trophy.  Maceo won the first year, Christian won the following two years than I won last year so we took a photo of us with the trophy before relinquishing it.

The new champion was thrilled to receive the trophy and his Super Bowl ring.

Before returning home I went to Cunningham and Mercy Parks.  These parks are a wonderful combination of green space, space for family recreational use, and a memorial for the victims and survivors of the massive tornado that ripped through this very area in May of 2011.

It was very powerful!

Still living and learning!!!

January 5th: It's a Good Day!!!

Yesterday was January 5th, 2017 and what a good day it was!!!!

Yesterday was my sweet baby boys birthday, his 16th one to be exact!!!
We had his traditional family dinner on Sunday while Dad was home but we did want to recognize this most special day; so, we ordered his favorite pizza and played a lengthy game of Settlers of Catan.  So fun!!!

As usual I had to work awfully hard to get the photo above :)

Nonsense.  Always nonsense.

While we were playing the game (which I won by the way!!!) this lovely lady stopped by.

It was her birthday as well.  This would be her 34th birthday and the only gift she wished for was the safe birth of her third child.  She stopped by to tell us that the doctor decided to induce labor due to medical concerns and if all went well she and Bishop would have another birthday buddy!

All went well!!!
At 11:13 pm, little Ollie entered the world!!!

Isn't she perfect?

January 5th was surely a good day!
Actually, it was a glorious day!!!

Happy Birthday, Bishop, Sarah and Ollie!!!
