Bright Cheer on a Dreary Day

Bishop and I were about town today and were treated to a wonderful sight.

A little corner of our city was yarn bombed...

What bright and colorful cheer on an otherwise dreary January day!

Happy 12th Birthday Dear Bishop!

Happy 12th Birthday, my dear Bishop!

First, the birthday boy's dinner of choice.  Usually it's a home cooked meal but this year the birthday boy wanted to give Red Lobster a try.  So Red Lobster it was!

After having this seafood feast Bishop got to go home and unwrap the gifts that were awaiting him beneath the Christmas tree.

He first opened the card and our cat, Othello, found it very interesting.

I think Othello wants to be promoted to General.

Bishop then moved on to the gifts.

Lookie at What I Just Made!

One of my intentions for the year 2013 is to do more handwork

and after doing some research I determined that needle felting wool might be just the thing for me.

So, I gave it a good go and here is my first endeavor.

My little polar bear is imperfect and asymetrical

but I love him and am very pleased with my efforts.

Just look at that face...

how could I not love him?
