R.I.P. My Sweet Little Ladies

Tragedy has struck.

A stray dog got in to our backyard and killed five of our chickens.

My heart is broken because I loved these five ridiculous little creatures.

I loved how they would come running to me every time I went out the back door.

I even loved how they scolded me when I was late with their breakfast.

And, of course, I loved the precious eggs that they gifted me with daily.

I will miss them much.

I am left with one chicken - one lonely, confused, cold chicken.

I will love her and care for her and appreciate all that she has to offer.
