Lifestyle of Learning 2017 Edition: Volume Thirty-Three

September 3-9

Fantasy Football begins!!!  We begin the week with the drafting of our teams.  So exciting!

Other exciting family news includes getting to celebrate Grandmama's birthday with her.  I am not certain when the last time was that I celebrated my mom's birthday with her.
We dined together...
...and made wishes...
,,,gave gifts and did service work.
Grandmama is passionate about Operation Christmas Child so we gifted her items that could go in shoeboxes and a shoebox packing party.  She loved it and we were grateful to get to spend time together as a family doing service.

On her birthday proper Roxie and I took Mama on a field trip.
The learning always continues.
We took her to the George Washington Carver National Monument where we learned about Carver,
...made scientific discoveries,
...saw a quilt exhibit,
...and observed wildlife.
We also went to the Precious Moments chapel
and Red Oak II.

It was a great and inspirational field trip.
Meanwhile, the boys had their own endeavors.
Maceo had Rocky Horror Show rehearsals and troupe.
Bishop has been doing a lot of independent research, including a lot of listening to science podcasts.

It was a delightful week!
